This information graphic is about the most
treasured film awards: the Academy Awards. The infographic shows the most fascinating
aspects of the prizes: the artists with record numbers, a timeline with the
most important events in the history of the Oscars and a little curious
comparison.
This information graphic is very figurative.
Except the timeline, information that is describing is represented as it says:
for the records of the Academy Awards, the author uses cartoons (Oscars) to
show the number, and uses also drawings for the comparisons for to make it much
more visual.
In addition, we found several decorative elements
(such as the figure of Oscar in the middle and all the drawings on the
timeline).
All this makes the infographic quite dense, due
also to the amount of text that we can observe around each shape.
Despite being all turning around the same topic
(the Academy Awards), the information displayed is totally different from one
another.
The timeline, comparison and bar charts are
very familiar to us, so it’s not original at all.
We can say that the infographic is also
redundant since it added them to graphics text and number, so you can even get
repeated information.
