This is an information graphic dealing with the
150th birth anniversary of the Lumiére brothers, the fathers of cinema. In the
infographic we can appreciate the most relevant events of their lives, their
first film, the cinematographe and how their invention affected the mass
society.
It is an almost entirely figurative graphic
because, although it explains the information with the help of text, drawings
show what is represented.
Therefore, the infographic has a lot of
decoration that reinforces the information but, at the same time, it could be
eliminated.
It's a pretty clear graphic information,
although numerous decorative elements will transmit the feeling of some
density, but we cannot notice an overload of information.
It is quite unidirectional, as it displays
different information about the same topic.
This is an infographic that is familiar to us,
because the information is represented through drawings. Still, there are
certain aspects in the original way to present the drawings.
Moreover, even if there are redundant elements
that are repeated, most of the information that shows the infographic is
novelty.
Thus, it is an intelligible and shallower
graphic information: it displays basic information on the same topic in a
simple, clear and direct way. This may be an infographic aimed to people that
don’t know how the cinema was born, as we have said above it shows the basic
information in a very superficial way, without going into further reading.

Hi Ariadna, I agree with you in the analysis of the infographic you did and I think that it is a very good idea to use a tension wheel to explain also graphically the inner features of the graphic.
ResponEliminaThe use of the tension wheel is a nice idea to show the results you achieved through the analysis of the infographic, and I think it is very useful to show each one of the features that you are commenting!
Good job and very interesting blog!
Thank you, Begoña! As you said, the idea of the introduction of the tension wheel is to reinforce my thesis, and also to explain it more visually.
EliminaHello Ariadna! I live very much your blog. Is a good idea combine the cinema with the graphics. Personally, this infographic about the Lumieres Brothers is very informative.
